Issues with front facing camera, using snapchat

Hi,
I finally got me the new HTC U11, and quite satisfied.

But, I noticed I have some troubles using the front camera on the device within the snapchat app.

It is blurry/white dots, looks like it is a really low picture quality. The main camera is fine.

The device HTC camera is also great, also the front.
I'm only experiencing this problem using snapchat/selfie mode.

I have tried to reinstall it couple of time without any luck.

Is there anyone else also having this problem? Is this issue known?
Or is it troubles with snapchat, who hasn't been able to update the app for HTC u11 device..

Would be thankful and glad for solutions.

Seems like there was an issue with Snapchat either photo or video on the M-10. It was an app issue that needed to be updated by the developer that fixed the problem, if I remember correctly...

Thanks the reply, I think I remember that when you mention it.

It was the same problem. Wouldn't think that would happen again with their new phone.
Especially when a lot of people actually use this app, but also very into how the camera work.

The issue mentioned in the main topic, also affects the video solution in the app also.

I wonder if they're aware about this =/

Just tested it out, and it appeared like a good image, was sent without issue, and my daughter said I'm "lookin' good", so it must work OK now!

Can't be =/ Did you maybe have an update recently, and I haven't got it yet cause of country?

I just tested it myself, and it still looks weird.
I'll post a screenie tomorrow!

Nope, still on original Sprint 1.03 firmware. (Maybe it was never broken?)

Same problem here, quality is awful on the snapchat app, recently updated it and it hasn't been fixed.

Could it be an issue with HTC software?

Maybe? Really annoying, not so fun taking selfies now with those filters

I could see some improvement first day after the update, but now it is back to being awful.

With multiple updates, the front camera on app is still not clear! Annoyed

This is a complaint with almost all newer Android phones... I've seen threads like this in LG and Samsung... What I'm getting at is it is an Android issue

I just started using HTC U play and I'm having problems with both the front and back camera when using snapchat and Whatsapp . White spots appear on the screen but then when I use the phone camera it's perfectly clear. Any help with the problem?
