Issues With Latest Security Update?

I received a security update last Tuesday (1/30) and since then, my apps are acting like I am randomly hitting the back button. My service is through Verizon.

While playing a game, the game will pause.
While in Facebook entering a post, the keyboard will disappear as if I hit the back button.

All the apps are acting this way...

Has anyone experienced this...?

I was only running it for a week, and I didn't experience that (or any) issue.
I can't test further as I am running Oreo now.

I would suggest a backup and factory reset (I know, it sucks). I have noticed from past experiences that OTA updates sometimes cause odd issues.

Obviously, if someone else can chime in with a fix that doesn't involve a reset, try that first, lol.

Got the update around the same time. The only app that I'm now having trouble with is Spotify will not let me log in - says its set to offline. After some searching it seems like this is a known issue that goes back several months. Not sure if the update kicked this off, or if it was just "my turn". No big deal if I have to remove and reinstall

I'm guessing you have the Verizon branded Note 8, not the unlocked version. I'm in Verizon and I am using the Verizon Note 8 and not having those issues. Have you tried rebooting and clearing your cache partition?

I too have a VZW branded Note 8, received the most recent update yesterday and no problems.

I have the Verizon branded Note 8, and notice that happening with Facebook quite frequently. With me it seems to be a FB app issue and not related to the update, as it's been happening for a long time, even with my previous Note 5. The FB app seems to periodically brainfart, requiring me to force stop the app and start my post, comment, upload etc. over. It's frustrating, but only seems to be Facebook. Whenever it exits twice in a row against my wishes, it's time to force close, and clearing the cache doesn't seem to make a difference. It irritates me, but I've learned to deal...
