Issues with URLs being redirected to nonsense

Hi,

I've had my HTC One for about a month now and I've found a very annoying behaviour when it comes to URLs. No matter what browser or app I use, there are some URLs which try and redirect to nonsense URLs. For example, when trying to load Hot UK Deals ("http://www.hotukdeals.com"), it tries to load "http://hotukdeals.comhttp//www.hotukdeals.com" which is obviously not correct and gives me a not found error. It does not do this with all URLs, but the ones it does it for, it does every single time.

Here is the result of one such occurrence:

This was when using BT wifi at home. The same URL does the same thing when not on wifi, I just get the browser's not found message rather than BT's.

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this or whether there might be a fix?

Thanks,
Josh

It looks like you are entering the web address and the keyboard is predicting the address you are entering and the browser is filling in the field with the same prediction. So this results in a duplicate of the text you are entering. Make sure you are carefully entering the website and not allowing a duplicate post to appear.

I'd like to think that I'd be sensible enough to realise if it was autocomplete. That is definitely not the issue here. I've got a video of the issue where it's quite clearly redirecting after I hit return in the browser.
