Issues with Wireless-N?

I picked up my Droid RAZR two days ago after being absolutely annoyed with the Rezound. Coming from an HTC Incredible I have to say I'm rather impressed. That being said, there is one issue that still irks me. When I use wifi I can't access any websites when over 802.11n. All my other phones and computers connect fine on the AP but teh RAZR won't load anything. It's connecting fine and giving the correct IP, I just don't get it.

The strangest thing is that it connects just fine when I handicap the router to 802.11g. I don't have a -n network in my house to use a crappy -g connection.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

I'm also using WPA2-PSK.

do you have a single band router, or a dual band.

If its dual band, is your n set to 5ghz only?

As far as I know, NONE of the phones have the dual band chip, so they can only connect to 2.4 ghz networks.

My droid 3, which I know is b/g/n can connect to my work router, which is broadcasting a N signal on 2.4ghz, but is G only on my home router which broadcasts G on 2.4, and N on 5.

My XOOM, on the other hand, is a/b/g/n capable, on both bands. It connects seemlessly to the N signal on 5ghz.

Nope, it's 2.4. Its so odd because every other phone that I try connects just fine on -n. Its just the RAZR that's giving me issues. It's really frustrating because it connects fine, gets an IP, and I can ping it from my router. But if I try to access the internet via the web, market, or any other app I get nothing. I'm not using a proxy or anything either.

Sounds like you got a defective phone. I know that my 802.11n works fine here.

Maybe swap it out?

Flashed a new firmware to my router and everything is working fine. Odd that all my other phones/devices worked but the RAZR. Regardless, I can't argue with the current status!

Good call, many people forget to update their routers firmware from time to time. Speaking of which, its time to see if mine is due. Thanks for the unintentional reminder.
