It keeps installing my phone apps - how do I make it stop?!?

When I first got my tablet, it proceeded to install all of the apps I have on my phone. I *wanted* it to restore the apps that were on my Note 8 which it replaced. Instead, it's installing all of the apps that are on my GS5. How do I make it stop? Is this a Galaxy thing or an Android setting? Help!!

Try going to Settings>Backup & Reset, and uncheck "Automatic Restore."

also jump into the play store, go to my apps and hit 'stop all'

Automatic restore is the culprit.
