Android Central Question

VERIZON/AT&T-T/MOBILE
Any of these company are saying that VERTU phone are banned in US, is it why I cannot use my phone here ? The connection is very poor...

Welcome to Android Central! Which Vertu phone? Vertu phones always seem to be based on significantly older phones and Android versions. If you have a somewhat older Vertu phone, it's possible that it doesn't even support 4G, which would be a problem since all of the major carriers have phased out (or are in the midst of phasing out) 3G.

I want to post something, but I feel like anything I say about a Russian luxury brand that caters exlusibely to the grossly wealthy is just going to get me into trouble lol.

But yeah, the fact that they are a *Russian* luxury brand is probably why they won't work in the US, or probably most other developed nations. Russia isn't exactly on good terms with the rest of the world at the moment.

I thought it was HQ'd in the UK: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vertu

They used to be manufactured here, but that was several owners ago. They were never a British company though.

It is possible I have my wires crossed about them being russian, I remember reading an article about them being purchased by a russsian equity firm, but I may be thinking of a different company, their ownership history is too long for me to care about lol.

I'm pretty hungover today, and it's apparently showing haha.

Vertu phones have always been near the pinnacle of wretched excess in tech, selling phones that were at least 2 years out of date, gussied up with lots of bling. You're probably better off with the Escobar Phone.:p
