It's been long enough - some input on screen protectors?

Just want to see you alls reviews on the tpu/film protectors so far. Which ones have held up amd which ones should I stay away from? I have gone through 4 privacy ones and they are all trash. They all lift around the camera hole. I used the LK clear ones on my Note 20 all the time with no problem. But the privacy ones suck. I'm looking at the Samsung official clear one but really want a privacy protector. I am not totally against tempered glass but I prefer film. Sound off please.

I wasn't looking at any privacy film screen protector. I got a regular film screen protector from Costco and like it. It's holding up fine, and it has a warranty for as long as I own the S22 Ultra. If it ever is damaged they will replace it for free.

I using the amFilm elastic skin protector that another poster here suggested.I've had it installed since Feb 28th and It's been great so far. No bubbles and no pulling up. I love that it feels like the screen and not rubbery. I'm not sure if they have a privacy one for the s22 ultra .

I originally bought the Ringke dual easy film because I had the dual wings one for my n20 and I thought they were the same. They were not the same.lol

I never use film protector on Samsung curved displays I learn my lesson and money long time ago , they eventually peel up somewhere.

I got a cheapo Jeywiry film off Amazon. Installation was easy with no bubbling, but pulled it off because it was so smudgy from fingerprints. I've gotten other cheapos from Amazon without issue. I'd stay away from that brand though. I've since bought an overpriced Zagg hybrid protector. It's working well.

When will Samsung admit this whole curve edge displays are pointless AF.

I'm sure it's cheaper to produce too, that's why their S22/+ are flat.

I love LK film screen protectors, they're even better compared to last years, my P6P and S22U have no issues.

I'm using the LK as well. No issues at all. It's been on since the day I installed it. No lifting, no bubbles..

I had a screen protector long ago on my first iPhone4 and also on my first BlackBerry Z10. I tried one on my BlackBerry Playbook Tablet also long ago and it just didn't feel/work right. I haven't used a screen protector on any of my devices since. Not the follow on Z10s, the Q10, any of my Samsung Tablets, not now either on my current Samsung A21. I don't think I could ever use a screen protector anymore, but maybe some of them nowadays are really good/clear. I have only experienced a very few slight scratches over the years, but others probably have to use their devices in way more unforgiving scenarios.

Before my first smartphone (the iPhone4), I experienced far more scratches and screen damage for a few of the "feature phones" I had back then.

I am a fan of no screen protector at all and wonder if they are needed at all, given how fast some people cycle through devices and how well screens are made nowadays (and I normally keep my devices longer than most people).

Maybe it's just an issue with the privacy ones. Like I said I ha ce used the LK ones since the Note 10 plus and no issues. Soon as I used the privacy ones, they don't work as well. Thanks for the input fam. Now I'm stuck between LK, Costco, and the Samsung official.

I know this isn't a popular opinion, but I think they're largely snake oil.

I've been using Supershieldz film on my last couple phones, and they're great!

I could imagine privacy protectors not working well with curved screens.

I don't necessarily use them for additional drop protection. I'm with you on it being a bit of luck of the draw whether they help or not in that scenario. I only use them because I hate seeing micro scratches on my screen. I don't mind a ding here or there in the frame, or scratches on the back even. But those tiny little scratches that you can only see from certain angles really drive me crazy for some reason.

If I had a non curved display then any stick on glass protector I would use be fine .

Yeah, I can't even remember the brand I bought for my Pixel 6 (non Pro) or my iPhone. They both have flat screens so using a cheaper one is fine on those.
