especially in this day and age of the iphone. now we finally have a phone to make apple look in their rear view mirror (scared), or maybe even make us look in our rear view with apple behind a android phone finally.

or maybe we can just look at our phones and be happy without comparing them to anything else. :)

thank you idk why everyone is so concerned with winning or losing i personally love technology and the innovation it brings! why is it always a versus?

cuz i dont like fanboys & apple has some of the worst of them. i agree with you on your statement, but i would like something for once to shut them up.

the iphone has fanboys because its a great product, but I'm glad the iphone is arround because it has set the bar which made android what it is today.

Necessity is the mother of invention. In order to survive in today's marketplace, you need to give people a reason to purchase your products over someone else's. How do you do this? By comparing products, it's the measuring stick in which suppliers and consumers alike use.

Asking people to not compare this Android with Apple (which basically revolutionized the phones we know and love today), is kind of silly.

i was going to wait a few months to buy this phone until i read about the kinks....but after seeing the hands on video's GOD IT WILL BE HARD TO WAIT

just go for it...If I survived the Storm 1...you can do it man! ;)

I loved my Storm 1. Once 5.0 was available, there seemed to be a new hybrid OS every week. These updates, plus being able to shrink the OS during installation made it a terrific device. Battery life was terrific too.

I got the Storm one on it's original release date. it was a long bumpy road until 5.0. i didn't even realized how much effort was required to make the storm 1 a great device until i got the storm 2. On the Storm 1 i installed every leaked OS...shrank them...managed my memory...etc. Once i got the S2...i installed the latest OS and then just used it....no need to manage memory, etc.....and it ran great!

I like tinkering with OS updates and stuff for fun...but it was necessary on the S1 to get it running good.

there's a difference between evaluating products to see which one is the best fit for you (this is a good thing) and comparing products for the sake of essentially bragging rights (bad thing)

i'm all for people making informed decisions, but fanboys of any kind bother me, logically, the only people who should be fanboys of something as trivial as an electronic device should be the people who sit on that company's board.

Wait till the 4G iPhone lol

personally, i'm not sure i want something with a screen that is less than 3.5"

i do like how thin they made it though...

ideally, something that is between 3.5 and 4.0 is the sweet spot i think :)

I like my storm but burnt out by it....plus I can't wait for free and cheaper apps and a better browser....android here I come

the first thing my sister envied when i showed her my droid was the browser. she was like, wow! you can actually go on the internet on it without it being a hassle!

you'll love the browser.

i never said dont compare and i understand vzw trying to dethrone AT&T but i mean us as the consumer the tech savvy just seems like on some of these boards if you say you prefer something the iphone does there are 20 some posts flaming you, instead of just acknowledging some things the iphone does better some android does better and some WebOS does better.

I totally agree with you in why the companies compete but i meant more along the line of why we compete with each other.
