Okay, so i know I can change the screen timeout. But how about a timeout option for the softkeys? Or the softkeys going off the screen timeout rate?

Not only did Samsung decide to change the layout of the softkeys, but they also decided that everyone will adapt to the new layout and when using the phone in a low light settings they won't need to have the softkeys lit up.

Or am I missing something? Can the timeout rate of the softkeys be changed? As long as my screen is on, I want my softkeys on too!

At this time there is no way to change the time the backlight stays on. Sorry!

This is a known issue and hopefully will get fixed in the upcoming maintenance release.

There seems to be no standard in softkey layouts. Motorola is different from an HTC as well.
