The only thing I care about is still being able to do voice dialing since it's legally required for my work as a trucker. I don't want all these AI gimmicks trying to think for me, and I had better voice recognition over a decade ago on Motorola's own software that didn't need AI or active internet connection. That all changed when Google Assistant became everyone's go to, which still fails to call properly at times. I can't wait to see how bad Gemini is.

Am I the only one that is frustrated and disappointed that this is not working? I mean nothing works Gemini, my virtual friend??? I can't even set a 10 minute timer anymore. Try it! The reply is "I'm sorry I can't help you with that" so I asked, _what can you do?!" Apparently it's only good for being your "virtual friend". Look, I'm a college educated person that works in the adult entertainment industry. I put in hundreds of hours a week on social media and webcaming. The last thing I need is a "Virtual friend"!! I WANT MY ASSISTANT BACK!!! My Galaxy S24 updated to the latest Android update and Gemini threw Google assistant out without notice!

That's what Alexa is for. But at least Alexa can dial my contacts and set a damn timer!! I don't know, maybe I'm missing something but I can't be the only one that is about to go to the Dark Side in hopes that Siri has improved since my last iPhone experience on the 4s.
Please someone tell me the Android executives weren't taken over by a bunch of 13 year old girls with phones demanding they need more virtual friends for their social status and to tell them they are pretty.. . .. the next generation is so screwed!!!
Thanks for letting me rant but would love to know if I'm missing something because I really want my talk to text back!!
