itunes album art taking over gallery

New to LG, always samsung or droid (was my first). But switching from a ROG 2.

In my gallery I have nothing but album covers in my gallery. With ASUS, when i took a pic, it would place them in folders like: camera, screenshots, and ones I made myself.

However, I tried holding down the art and seeing if I can make a folder but only option is to delete the pic.

Am I missing something? All I could find was hiding the pics

Select any of the album cover images in the gallery app and look at the Info/Details to find out which directory the images are located in. Then use a file manager app to create a blank file called .nomedia in that directory -- this will instruct the system to ignore that directory when scanning for images to add to the gallery database.
