Android Central Question

I can't save my pictures to my phone. I can't connect to my computer with USB. Some apps are starting to be buggy.
How can I restore my media storage system app?
I am on the Oneplus 7 pro GM1925.

Yes, my phone is rooted. I didn't do a back-up of my phone prior to deleting it.

hi, welcome to AC!
That's a system app, you would most likely have to flash back to stock firmware then re-root
Unless you can find someone on XDA Forums that has that to add back in

Welcome to the forums. There's a chance that things will be fine if you sideload the Media Storage app from apkmirror. Search for the version 10. This is on my OnePlus 7.

Tried to install the media storage version 10 apk but it just fails and says "App not installed". Will try flashing the stock. Unless there's a way to force install an apk...

Yeah, not a big chance that it could work. I think you'll need to flash the full ROM. I'll ask around just in case you want to wait before going nuclear.

I can wait.

Running Android 10 with 10.0.4GM25CC. Just got the phone a few days ago and did the OTA normal system update (Thru Sprint)

Oh, carrier version. Are you planning to flash the international build or stay on Sprint?

Re: I've accidentally uninstalled the media storage system app with "System app Safe remover".

It's the international unlocked version from Sprint (Sprint disabled OEM unlocking and manual system updates so I had to take some extra steps to unlock the bootloader and root my phone). Hoping to flash the international build if possible, but the instructions (https://www.getdroidtips.com/oneplus-7-pro-stock-firmware/) for flashing a stock on oneplus 7 pro doesn't have the GM1925 stock so I'm going to follow this person (https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-7-pro/help/sprint-gm1925-stock-rom-t4054171). Unless there's a safe international version for GM1925.
