I've had my note8 for 1 1/2months and ever since, my Samsung gear S3 Frontier don't work together

I keep getting a prompt ."Gear S Plugin keeps stopping" Close app" I've reset my gear S3 Frontier 3 times now..Works fine for a week then the same warning....HELP PLEASE!
 
I have had the same issues. My Note 8 is a week old and my watch I just received last night. I am about to send the watch back and be done with it. I have tried to search for a fix but I don't see any. It freezes my phone up every few seconds and I can't do anything with it. Very disappointing. If someone out there has an answer please help?? I am ready to return this watch to Amazon.
 
It's not the S3 it's the N8 , paired my watch to several phones with no problem

Figured as much. Sent the watch back today. Had an S8+ and the Gear S3 and never had any issues with it. What a shame. Oh well. Guess I saved myself $270 bucks.
 
That is unfortunate. I use the N8 and Gear S3 and have no problems at all.
N8 -> SM-950U running 7.1.1
Gear S3 -> SM-R760 running 3.0.0.1
 
Must not be that wide spread. Me and my wife both have N8's with gear S3's working just fine..

Hmmmm maybe I will try another. Lol. I really like the S3 but I was trying for hours on end to try to get it to work and every few seconds I kept getting the gear S plugin error. Tried everything I saw on the internet to try to fix it but couldn't get it to work. Ugh.
 
Well just had another one arrive yesterday. Got it out and set it up. Got the error 3 more times after set up and then none. Haven't had it since I took it out of the box and set it up. So glad. Not sure what causes it but it appears to be gone now.

So happy I can enjoy this watch with my Note 8.
