Hi, Ive lost very important pictures that I need for my divorce proceedings after a random factory rest. I've read about the Knox issue and No root available for the SM-N920V however does anyone know of an app that could recover them? I just really need these pics for my daughters sake.

After a factory reset, the purpose of which is to destroy any data you've put on the phone (pictures, downloaded apps, etc.), recovery is impossible (unless you work for a secret government agency).

Even if the pictures were only deleted, recovering deleted files requires root.

Sorry to hear that but I doubt you can recover pics after a factory reset.

However, You can check any cloud services (Dropbox, onedrive, Google drive, Google photos, etc ) that you had on the phone earlier to see if they've backed up your data. Even certain cleaner apps back up data to a cloud. If you are lucky you just might find some app that backed up your pics without your knowledge (that you accidently enabled).

Happened to me once. Switching between my previous phone and the note, I switched from Dropbox to google photos. However, probably because of my prev setup, even on my new phone Dropbox was backing up my camera reel.

Yep erase everything means exactly that. Always back up before doing a reset

Did you have your photos automatically backing up to a service like Google photos or One Drive, etc?

Hello!
Did you happen to have this information backed up anywhere else? I always suggest having backups either on the cloud or on another hard drive (like your PC) -- If you didn't have these backed up then unfortunately this information is gone.
