January Update Issue (Maybe?)

The January update finally worked on Verizon late yesterday. After the update the phone seemed normal. This morning I have driven my car three times and Android Auto has a unique new glitch. When I shut off the car and get out the phone will not stop trying to connect to Android Auto. This is definitely causing some battery drain and the only way I can force my phone to stop trying to connect to AA is by restarting my phone. I checked for any updates to AA but there are none. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Is there a setting that I need to change to keep this from happening? Any help is appreciated.
