..I think that date was rumored because it syncs with the release of the Nexus 4, right?

Other rumors point to "middle of November".

It's middle of November too :)

The 13th is the release date for the Nexus 4. Phil said that 4.2 for the Nexus 7 would follow a few weeks later.

Good luck with the update tomorrow, we'll get it at some point but don't hold your breath. Could take up several weeks if not more...

According to a couple of outlets, it's on the download servers and has started rolling out.

4.2 has been out for like twenty minutes now and I still don't have it!

Google sucks so bad!

That's it! I'm switching to Apple!

it is almost 12:30 here and still no OTA. :-(
i wonder if there are any tricks to start kick the OTA?
not in the mood to "manually" update, would rather wait for the OTA.

For some people, clearing the Google services framework helped with the last OTA. But, honestly, if you're going to fiddle around with that you might as well take a couple of extra minutes and do the manual install. You'll get it immediately.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried it to no avail. I guess I will wait like everyone else!

Currently running 4.2 on my nexus 7.

Can't see any benefit whatsoever. The new user switching would probably come in handy for a lot of people but I don't share mine with anyone.
