Jelly Bean Android 4.2, it's frozen. Does that mean it's done?

Jelly Bean android 4.2

I have a Jelly Bean 4.2 tablet, which I have hardly ever used. I went on it today and it completely froze. It will not even shut off. Does that mean it's DONE? Someone please answer. Thanks.

It doesn't necessarily mean that. Have you tried pressing Power for half a minute or so to force a shutdown?
