Yesterday the Jelly Bean update arrived from Sprint for my Galaxy S3. I now have Android 4.1.2 and baseband version L710VPBMD4. Do I have to do anything to activate the new features? I have found tons of articles about what the new features are, but I can't find anything about how to use them. For instance, I can see on my notification screen that I have multi-window, but I don't know how to get my device to do that. The calendar is supposed to look different, but I can't see any differences. And where do I find the new camera features?

Does anyone have a link that would be a "how to" for using Jelly Bean? Thanks!

There are some Jellybean related links here: http://forums.androidcentral.com/sa...ing-you-wanted-know-about-your-galaxy-s3.html , but I suspect you were on Jellybean already (4.1.1 was Jellybean, too).

For the new Premium Suite features, this may help: Samsung Galaxy S3 Premium Suite Update Breakdown , or this:

Upgrade your Galaxy S III (S3) with Samsung's Premium Suite

For multi-window, if it's enabled, there will be a little curved shadow in the middle of the left edge of the screen. It's easier to see against a light background. Drag it to the right, and a list of the apps you can use with multi-window will appear. Drag one of those icons to the right. Then repeat, and drag a second icon to the right. Voila, both those apps open at the same time.

If you don't see the little curved shape, to to settings / display and make sure multi-window is checked. If it is, and you still don't see the curved shape, hold the back button down for a few seconds.

Thank you for that info, Meyerweb! I will check out those links and see if I can get squared away.
