I am a bit ignorant concerning source, so forgive me if this is a stupid question, but how quickly until we see a Verizon GNex ROM straight from source with no mods? Do they have to make any tweaks?

Thanks!

Very little and since I just a post that toro is again back in asop tree very little will b changed. The low key developers will cook a rom or two in a day two. Big dogs might see something in a week they need to see what changes will b needed

yeah it really depends on the dev. I know some of the big guys are currently pulling down the source now. That its self can take a while. You'll probably see ROMs in alpha/experimental builds tomorrow with more stable builds towards the end of the week.

All depends though, it's never really the same.

Jelly Belly 2.6 is a hybrid, in the sense that it has AOSP 4.1.1 binaries included. Pretty sure that's as close as you can get right now.. a day from now, though, we'll see. It'll probably be like leapfrog between devs over the next week on moving towards a completely source-built release.

You can literally build your own aosp toro JB ROM right now.. Within an hour or a few you'll see them start popping up from the dev community. Good day indeed :)

That is what I was thinking. Can't wait. Had to go back to AOKP today due to too many little issues. Hoping I can go back tomorrow.

AOKP is one of the big dogs. Their changes will likely take a week or so to make a stable JB ROM with a lot of the features you have come to love and know from the pink unicorn. Like you, I flashed Vicious JB V3 over the weekend. Nothing wrong with it and LOVE JB, but I just gots to have my Kang so flashed back to AOKP B 38 and will switch over to JB once they produce a stable ROM in a week or so. It is a fantastic time to be a Galaxy Nexus owner on Verizon, especially in light of the SG III getting the locked bootloader....all of a sudden, it is like the Nexus is king of the hill again and feels like a brand new device! :D
