My daughter recently updated her samsung t989 to jellybean, but now she can't access the playstore. Is there a fix for this?

Does she have any of the Google Apps? How did she do the upgrade? If it was the custom ROM route she will need to download the GApps separately and install them from recovery. If it was an OTA upgrade, I don't know why the Play Store would have disappeared.

We did it on Kies. It worked the 1st day, but hasn't worked since.

can you find the playstore app listed in the application manager? if it is there, you can reset the app by clearing the cache and the data.
