I find it to be excellent on my Maxx. If you're debating whether or not to upgrade your Maxx from ICS to JB, I suggest doing a factory reset after the upgrade, or at least a partition cache wipe, to clear out the old remaining cobwebs from ICS. This will help avoid some of the problems you might have read about regarding battery life or performance.

I'm not as enthusiastic as others about JB. I think JB has some awesome features, but it has significantly slowed down my Maxx. Of course, I could attribute it to normal course of any computer "dumbing down" after some use, but I, and other in the forum, all think that JB may be the cause of significant lagging after JB update. But then again, how can you avoid it? I mean, if you don't install JB, you will always think "what am I missing..."
