It also would appear that they are giving a coupon for 50% off a case from the Google Store; at least I have an email stating I will get the $50 Play credit plus the 1/2 off coupon towards a case from the Google Store for ordering my 6P from Project Fi.

I have a Nexus 6P on order and am currently using Project Fi with my Nexus 6. I got a email stating this:

In addition to adding the new Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P phones to our device lineup, we've also transitioned to using all-new SIM cards for Project Fi.
Do you need a new SIM?
Your existing SIM card will continue to work in the original Nexus 6. You'll need a new SIM card for the Nexus 5X or Nexus 6P if you plan to use it on the Project Fi network.
How to get a new SIM
If your new Nexus phone didn't come from Project Fi, just visit fi.google.com/order-sim to place your order.

I ordered the sim just in case, because I'm not sure the 6P will come with one. I ordered it from the Google store and not Project Fi.

I ordered nexus 6p 32gb aluminum we'd w project fi to take advantage of finance offer. Price will be about 10 more bucks than my cricket plan and the only thing losing is 20gb data vs 2gb in project fi. No biggie as I am in wifi 95% of time. Just need to download music to phone to replace Google play streaming to and from work. Should be delivered by end of nobs beer, ouch!
