Hello all,
I just ordered my Epic 4G (get it tomorrow). It's my first Android powered phone. Just coming off of a Sidekick ("smartest" phone I was able to afford at the time, glad to see it go). Been wanting an Android phone, well since the G1 really, but am finally now able to afford/justify it. It should stay stock for about as long as it takes to charge the battery lol. Seriously can't wait to start diving in.
I wanted to get a G2, but couldn't get TMO to give me a decent price on one, so settled on the Galaxy S, only to have it turn out that TMO didn't want to honor their offer to get it discounted in exchange for the Sidekick service being discontinued. Happier that way anyway since the Epic makes me feel like I'm not compromising anywhere: I get the larger, better AMOLED screen, plus the keyboard and flash that the Galaxy S lacks. Pretty much has everything that I want in a phone, once I get rid of Samsung's software butchery it should hopefully prove to be about perfect.
Android Central was a critical component in my search and research for the perfect phone, and I'm happy to be signing on officially
