I kinda bricked my captivate that i got two weeks ago (not the phone i wanted anyways) so I have ordered a inspire off of amazon and it should be here sometime next week, so for now I am stuck with my 2 year old 3GS :(

I originally wanted the HTC Inspire mostly because of sense, I love sense.

Just one question, does the 4G or HSPA+ or whatever its called now eat up a lot of your data? I am on the 2GB plan so I do use wifi a lot of the time. And I am sure it uses a lot of battery too, compared to 3G.

Also how good is the battery life on moderate use?

The difference between 3G and 4G is 4G is faster, so you may eat up more data since things load faster. I use the 2GB plan and use about 500meg a month, since I have wifi most of the time.
4G uses more battery, but it is worth it.
Moderate use is it can last a day, but heavy use is half a day or less. The battery is small.

all I see for extra batteries are the stock batteries, so it looks like its hard to get an extended battery.

I have to leave my data off. I turn it on when I need it, and then turn it back off. I put a short cut/widget on my homepage to make this easier. I still get close to my limit. I have the 15$ plan with ATT.

Staying under 200 meg is too much of an issue ($15 plan). It is too bad isn't 400 meg, I could maybe stay under that number.
At least with 2gb, I can be worry-free about not going over for an extra 10 bucks a month.

There's a really good app called on the market called PowerMax that'll turn off ur data for u when the screen turns off & flip it back on when it wakes up. There's other apps like Juice Defender & others like it that'll do it too but PowerMax is easier & quicker. Just flip the switch & forget about it. It does the rest.
