Jumping In & Hoping For A Miracle

Hi there! New to the site...I have a Mytouch 4G t-mobile phone and was hoping to find a solution to a buggy camera issue that I've been dealing with. The camera randomly turns on, consecutively takes one pic after another (even when the phone is lying on a flat surface untouched), etc. Pressing the back button numerous times to exit only temporarily helps. So, I went to Settings-Applications-Running Services and tried Force Closing the camera, but that didn't seem to have any effect - the camera simply launched itself and the whole issue started all over again. I reset the phone to the factory default, but that didn't help. Later, I decided to format/erase my SD card AND reset the phone to the factory default, but still no change. I'm at a loss as to how to proceed and web searches to find the solution have yielded little to no results (searched this site too, but only came across the issue, but no a solution wasn't posted). I'd appreciate it very much if someone could assist me!

Hello, welcome to Android Central. I was going to say that it might be an application causing this problem, and then I read where you said you did a 'reset.' Most time doing a reset usually fixes the problem. I'm sorry, but I can't think of any other solution for this problem.
