Jumping out of the PalmOS pool into the Andriod pool

Hi from Honduras!
First post here. I've been browsing for a few days and just joined. My wife and I live on the little island of Roat?n. I've been the VERY happy owner of a Treo680 for over 5 years. I use the dickens out of it, but the technology is getting a little long in the tooth. My wife has a Samsung Blackjack with /gag!/ Windows Mobile 6.

We just ordered a pair of T-Mobile Samsung Exhibit II 4G phones which are on the way to us right now. We'll unlock them when they get here. I'm sure looking forward to all the cool bells and whistles.

I do need to figure out how to get everything transferred, though. We share the same gmail account, but not the same contacts in our phones. Also, last time I tried syncing my Mac with gmail it made anywhere from 5 to 9 identical copies of each entry in both places. What a mess! Maybe we need to dig out the old Windows laptop at least for the initial syncing. :-/

This site looks like a tremendous resource. I learned a bunch from the Treonauts forum and I've already learned quite a bit here.

Thanks for the warm welcome, both of you. I've been making heavy use of the getting started info already and don't even have the phones yet. LOL! I won't be surprised if I do have questions once I get the phones here. But it looks like I'll probably find the answers already here without having to ask.
