Anyone having a problem with the screen jumping almost uncontrollably? Sometimes when attempting to scroll down a page, it will suddenly zoom all the way to the top. Such a pain the butt.... Any suggestions (other than rebooting the phone)?

maybe you need to clean your screen or get another screen protector...

I've always had it jump down to the bottom of the page, never to the top, if that is any consolation to you. ;) It doesn't happen very often though, just randomly.

That has been happening to me since yesterday all of a sudden. I had to do a factory reset twice to fix the problem.

Probably not very helpful, but the only times I've had these kinda problems with my Droid is when the screen is dirty or oily (from pressing it to my ear and cheek). Microfibre it down and it works a treat again.

I just got one today and I noticed this a few times already while trying to adjust Settings. Would be going down the list of ringers and then try to select one and the screen would do a quick scroll to the bottom. Go back, select and it did it again. Happened on another setting screen too.

I have had this problem since I got the phone in Jan. and I just live with it. My screen has been clean on at least some occasions. I thought I read a while back that Verizon was telling people to factory reset their phones. Can someone confirm if a factory reset really works? (As in use the phone for a couple weeks with no issue)

I noticed that if i disinfect my phone with a cleaner on the out side like windex and get some on the screen. If i clean it with optical lens cleaner and a mocrofiber cloth it goes away.
Give that a try and see if it helps.

Oh man, this is getting very annoying! I've tried everything... cleaned the optical trackball, wiped and reset, pulled the battery...

What else can I try??

I have this problem when I use my after market charger. Only happens while its plugged in and goes away when I use my dock or stock charger. But the screen isn't super accurate at telling where your finger it is just a calibration problem that will always be present. I ran a rom that had a screen calibration tool and it helped a little but not to much.
