Just bought a One-X. What are the "MUST DO" things to do first?

Just wondering what are some of the must do things that you did to set up your phone to be efficient, fun, and clean out any bloat? Suggestions would be helpful regarding apps, menus, wallpaper, utilities, settings adjustments, etc..

Thanks!

I'd be careful about removing the bloatware, it might cause you headaches when (if ever) it comes time to update the phone.

Nobody said to remove it.
Just disable it as mentioned in the linked post.

Start using DropBox ASAP. Initially you start off with 2 gigs, but that will quickly expand from 4-5 gigs in no time (depending on how much you do). Eventually you will be able to earn an additional 23 gigs of space.Make use of Google Play and/or Google Drive. Learn to use your camera primarily the auto upload settings. It is really nice knowing that your photos and videos are automatically uploaded and synced to your PC and any other devices you may have linked.

Drop box is the correct answer. It is a must have. The snarky answer is sell it on ebay and get a sgs3

Go into settings in dropbox and select camera upload. It may be in by default.

Dropbox upload can be turned on in the dropbox app. Google photo upload is part of Google+. The goog limits photo size to, I think, 2mb. So use dropbox until you fill it up, as you will get more space as you do, then decide how to proceed.

2mb will lose a little quality, but there is no money involved, as there will be with dropbox eventually. That said, dropbox integration is very good. With management from your home pc, you can work with a limited dropbox.

Reading this post and all the replies got me to sign up with Drop box, good deal! I shoulda asked this same question about a month ago when I jumped ship from Apple to this beautiful HOX!! I'm still digging around and learning a ton of stuff on Android! Still blown away by all the stuff Android has had for years that Apple is just starting to get now!

Actually my international HOX has Picasa Web as a place I can push photos to. Without needing to sign up for Google plus. They seem to upload at full resolution.

Picasa is yet another options, but limited to 1GB of space. Picasa seems to serve better as an album organizer to upload individual pics to, for sharing to albums for specific purpose. I can't get my HOX to VIEW Picasa albums however, which is annoying. I actually stopped pushing pics to it for the grandparents to see due to the Gallery bombing when I try to view them.

I had my branded O2 HOX for 2 days before I unlocked the bootloader and rooted the phone, (there's lots of info to be found on rooting on the web and it's virtually foolproof if you follow the instructions), then I tried a few roms for a period of about a week each before settling on ARHD rom, available in another forum. It's basically stock rom but with many tweaks and bloat removed. A major plus to this, is the battery lasts a lot longer. Root uninstaller works great too for removing bloatware and freezing apps that you do not use. Waiting patiently for ARHD to port Jellybean. Shouldn't be long now. Most of all, you'll fall very quickly in love with your new phone. Enjoy. ;)
