Just bought n9, knew I shouldn't.

So with the price of the nexus 9 only £180 at Argos UK and reading about the early button and screen issues fixed with later models thought all would be good but no. My serial number build is Aug 15 but soon as i powered it on the light bleed all round the screen was terrible, the power and volume buttons are basically flush and like mush when trying to press, thought these issues would at least be fixed nearly a year later. Back to my reliable n7 2013 it is and straight back with the n9, disappointed to say the last.

I got mine from Amazon yesterday, the light bleed is only really noticeable under extreme-ish circumstances like a completely dark room on mine.

The buttons are a funny one, the buttons themselves seem okay on mine - it's more their positioning. The side of the tablet is angled and the buttons are flush to the back plate which itself sticks out a bit - making it tricky to press them if you're coming from the wrong angle.

Overall I'm fairly pleased though, the above are minor issues IMO and everything else seems OK. I especially like the form factor - think it hits a sweet spot and coming from an iPad Air I'm glad the back isn't a metal scratch magnet. A case shouldn't be necessary on a tablet unless your carrying it around in a bag.
