Just downloaded latest update. Does anyone else's battery life drain faster after an update?

my battery life is pretty bad and I have done resets. Note 5 is probably the worst on battery I have ever had from a Samsung phone

I get very good battery life on my Note 5 and I'm a heavier user. Maybe try clearing cache? The Note 5 is one of the better battery life devices out today.

I also have always had great battery life on my Note 5 since I purchased it is February. I take it off the charger at 6am and when I put it back on the charger around 11pm I still have about 35% left. I'm a moderate to heavy user throughout the day.

What did this update other than security? I hope it fixes the random muting on my end when I make a call where others can't hear me

Go to Settings- Systems Storage. Tap storage tap "Cached Data" and hit delete. You may have to delete more than once to clear.

how do I clear the cache and will I lose settings if I do?

Power phone off.
Hold power, volume up, and home button
Let go of home button when samsung screen appears.
Let go of power and volume when the android appears
Use volume button to highlight clear cache and hit power button
Scroll to reboot and hit power button.
Phone will restart
Done.

You will lose nothing. This is not a factory reset.

Is this when using Bluetooth such as hands free in a car? If so, try downloading Bluetooth Phonebook. It has worked wonders for me.

No this is when using the microphone on the phone itself. I haven't had this issue since turning off wifi calling. Actually, turning that off fixed another problem with photos not being sent fully, meaning they were cut in half and puzzle like. Kind of like scrambled porn back in the day.
