I know this is going to be a "duh!!!" moment to most of us, but it needs to be said just to make sure you're aware...

Since you're an EVO user, you're on Sprint. If by unlocking the Nexus One you mean to be able to use it on your Sprint service, that is impossible. They work on two different technologies (Sprint uses CDMA technology and the Nexus One uses GSM technology).

No, its a tmobile nexus,

i wasnt aware the were open to ATT and tmobile, i know they made 2 different versions.

im well aware of CDMA/gsm service and how they work.

thanks for the heads up.

when i see nexus on ebay, i always hear of some saying unlocked and some saying just what carrier it is.

Cool. Was just covering all bases because many aren't aware of the differences between the technologies that carriers use.

But yeah, the Nexus One comes unlocked for any GSM carrier (except maybe the Vodafone version? i can't confirm whether that is locked to Vodafone or not). But since there are/were two versions of the Nexus One (one compatible with T-Mobile's 3G bands and one compatible with AT&T's), many people use that carrier to describe the version they have. It causes confusion a lot of the times.

Sad to say, i put it up on ebay and its at 400 right now, its a great phone and id like to keep it, but i could use the money..

going on a limb here, but the phone is way more efficient, and faster then my Evo..

if only the nexus had the big screen.

I've always liked the way the N1 looked. I wonder what the specs vs specs for both phones look like.

I am consider buying a Nexus One yet I'd like to ask you all carriers where is your nexus one design in and where is it made in? Since it's slightly harder to get your hands on an original device now...

If its easier and you have the knowledge, where is an original Nexus One designed and made in? If you also have more hints on how to test originality please do tell.

Thank you in advance.

They are all made by HTC, Designed by HTC to Google's specification.

What is the point of your question?

At the back of the box or the device it says for example: Designed in California, Made in Taiwan.

I hope it's clearer for you now

HTC Corporation is a Taiwan-based manufacturer of smartphones, so i'm guessing ALL Nexus Ones are made in Taiwan
