Initial thoughts after a few days, and coming from a webOS Pre3, Veer, and Pre- over the last 3 years. Honestly, I like it. It's actually smaller than an open Pre3, which is how I almost always used my Pre3. I haven't had a whole lot of time with it, I have a busy work schedule, but I'm picking it up quickly. From what I remember, it took me awhile to get the hang of my old Pre-. Anyway just a quick shout out before I head off to work. Hopefully I'll get some more time to play around with it, and actually look at this site for some tips and tricks, app recommendations etc. I've been a long time member/moderator of webOS Nation and hoping that this community is as helpful as the last...:D.

Hi sledge. :-D Welcome to the dark side. Nice to see another familiar name. Seems like a lot of us have migrated over. There's lots of help to be had. Milo made a great Pre to Android sticky over in the help and how-to forum. Enjoy.

Hey thanks :) I'm actually moving along a lot faster than I expected, based on my experience with CM9 on the TouchPad. Maybe something to do with just being to programmed on how to use it on the webOS side. For an OS with "tons of crap apps", I've found several useful ones in the last couple of days, and I haven't really been looking that hard either. :) I do enjoy the webOS flow on my TouchPad, and I think I'll stick with it, for the time being, another week and I should have my GS3 figured out...:D

Yeah, I had a much shorter learning curve than I expected and found some great apps, including some familiar ones that have been ported over from webOS. I still use my TP daily, although I never put CM9 on it. There's a lot I miss from webOS, but I'm really enjoying my One S and Android.

I came from the original pre. Miss a couple things but I'm fine. Gesture bar was so cool. Oh well lol.

Btw I heard there's a pretty simple way of syncing your phone with the touch pad in terms of texting. You just pair it like you would your pre . Not sure the exact way.

Anyways welcome aboard :)

Thanks! I forgot to even try that. It was pretty easy, just turn on Bluetooth on both devices, enable discovery, confirm the pairing codes match, allow text message sharing and you're done. ;)

Oooh. Totally forgot about that.
