Just got my droid

Hey guys, i finally got a droid, and for one, am really happy to switch from iphone 3gs, maybe because ive been using iphone 3gs since it came out, but loving all the features droid has. what i am not liking though is i notice its a bit laggy on the menus and stuff, and i have no clue how to root and overclock/ i dont know if its risky. my question is now, should i update to 2.2 froyo? if yes, will it keep my unlock? is it official version (my droid is the Telus Milestone), will it increase performance? and is it safe to put it on a telus milestone.

The OS has nothing to do with the subsidy lock.

dude im a complete noob, can you tell me step by step how to upgrade to froyo official, im just so used 2 iphone plz help

If you're unrooted, the 2.2 update will come to you automatically. Which phone do you have? The Droid original? I didn't think they were selling those anymore.

yeah i got it in canada, sold my 3gS and bought this, im in canada running it unlocked and unrooted, i have no clue how to do anything but im loving android, just wish it was a bit snappier
