Just got my google nexus one. (YEAH!)

hey guys, im new to this forum and new to nexus one as well. what i can say about the phone, its one hell of a machine! and im loving it so far.

anyways, i was reading up on some rooting stuf, i kinda know how to but one question pops up in my mind. my n1 is a factory unlocked GSM. was wondering if i still need to do the bootloader unlock thingy before rooting. maybe you guys can answer my question.

I'm not the OP, but I've had mine since February and I LOVE it still. I'm a flash-a-holic however, gotta calm down and actually use the phone as a phone lol.

I'm tempted to go Galaxy S, but can't at the moment; HTC Desire has a lot of appeal to me, after I tasted the Desire ROMs on the Nexus One. Still, this phone works really well and none of the other phones are far ahead enough of the game to warrant an immediate replacement.

Sure they got bigger screens, more internal storage, better graphics chip, etc.. But they're still basically all the same (1 GHz, 512 MB, 5-8 MP camera, 3.7-4.3 inches screen, etc). No outrageous huge leaps ahead YET.
