Whats up android community! Well i just got my Htc One today an i can happily say im done with my iphone and ios for good! The feel of the phone is really nice and navigating through the software is fast an sleek. I do have some questions since its my first android device. Hope you all can help.

1. I see there is different toggle options throughout the settings and came across ''sleepmode'',''power save'' and ''fastboot'' . I know power save i should have on right? How about the other two toggles?

2. When i went into what apps are stored in the storage setting i seen these running- at&t navigator, google services, maps, gpstore, htc sense input. Are these the normal things to be running even though gps is disabled? an if not can i disable/forcequit these apps along with all the at&t brand bloatware apps so they arent running an i can forget about them?

3. Should debugging be enabled or disabled? What exactly does it do?

4. Battery percentage, is there a way to have it posted up top where the icons are by the battery instead of going into power settings to check? I know playstore has things to put the percentage up top but im avoiding that. Is this in the 4.3 update?

Thanks!

1. I like sleepmode because it can save battery (look up details about it online). Fastboot is in case you ever need to reboot your phone it will boot up faster but take up more battery
2. htc sense input and google services are normal, maps and at&t navigator are not. You should forcestop them and look at your location settings for maps. As for at&t navigator, unless you use it I would just disable it.
3. What kind of debugging are you talking about? USB debugging?
4. It is in the 4.3 update and GSAM battery is the best thing for a percentage while you're waiting and tells you a lot of useful information about your phone's battery.

Doesnt sleep mode over ride power saver mode when data connection is enabled under sleep mode options to conserve battery? That would make power saver useless i would think? Atleast thats what i read off the htc one manual guid thing. So not sure which one will be more affective.

Oh ok yeah fastboot ill turn off,im not in a rush for it to boot back up fast an turn on.

The debugging i believe its for USB. When i connected to my laptop,i swiped down on the screen of the One an saw Debugging an it says ''usb debugging connected''. What is it exactly an should it be enabled or disabled?

Forgot to mention, when charging i see a green light turn on up top in the speaker grill. Does it turn off when full charged?

Power saver has additional options , not only the data one whereas sleep mode over covers your data. On my one I use both!

USB debugging will always appear when you plug it into a computer, even if it is "disabled"

When charging the light is a amber(orange..) and when FULL its green. It will not turn off until you unplug the phone.
