Just got my xoom today and it is awesome!! Ive never used android before and I am loving this thing. I thought it was going to be hard to get media on here but I used dvd catalyst 4 and it couldn't have been easier. I really love my iphone 4 but when it comes to tablets the xoom is far superior to the ipad!

welcome to the forums! download thumb keyboard app, you'll love it even more.

Also, if you have an issue with it currently not having flash, a lot of sites are designed for ipad work around. just change you tablet to render for an ipad and all the sites will work till then.

Yes there is a zoom default setting and it all depends on your processor speed. On a i7-950 quad core it takes 30 mins for avatar.

There is a setting for the xoom, I'm playing around with the settings right now. I did king Kong at 1280 x 720 and it looked really good but I deleted it and now am trying 1280 x 800 to see if I can get it to fill in the screen a little more. On their website it said that the best is 1280 X 754 which there isn't a setting for yet, it is coming in a future update.

If you use Total Video Converter they have a setting for 1280 x 768...or you can choose "your own" custom size...but i use the 1280 x 768 setting & my movies look incredible on my Xoom Going to Paranormal Activity 2 on it in a few.
