I just got my Sprint plan and Nexus S 4G up and running. I also got the Buy Back program from Best Buy (look it up if you don't know) So in your opinion, should I cash that in and get the Galaxy S 2 when it arrives or keep my Nexus S 4G? I want to make sure the Galaxy WILL get updated good like the Nexus does because being a Google phone.

Your thoughts?

EDIT: OR, Should I wait and get the actual NEXT Google Nexus phone (PRIME)

Stick with the Nexus. we have no idea how Samsung will handle the updates... At least you know the Nexus will get Ice Cream Sandwich. Your nexus already has a higher version of Android then the unreleased Epic Touch...

Get either the S2 or wait for the Prime. The S is still a good phone, but it's behind in specs and you have to keep a phone 2 years in a lot of cases.

I would stick with the NS4G or wait on news of the Prime. If you want constant updates this is the way to go... If you hit the SGSii then your dependent on Sprint/Samsung for updates which we all know how well that goes... :-\

prime all the way! If it's that much better than the nexus s, we'll have an AWESOME phone! Don't know why so many people slept on the Nexus s anyways, this phone is great!

I agree that a lot of people don't truly understand how awesome the Nexus S is. I think that they get stuck on the spec sheet. Not realizing that
This phone is faster than most that have dual core processors. I'm very excited about the Prime too.

Yes I agree with most of you, I will admit i did get rid of the Nexus S back like 2 months ago because I got fustrated with radio connectivity issues. Went through about 4 phones during that time and ended up coming back to the Nexus S 4G. I cant beleive ( well its diff when your radios wont connect) i let this bad boy go and I am glad that I am back!!! And let me just say that once its rooted its even better!

Now as for the Nexus Prime..... well its a little cloudy right now but based on some leaked docs, Verizon is getting this bad boy as an Exclusive ( no wonder they dont have the NXS) and if this is true, then Google dropped the BALL Big TIME!!! Google needs to release this on the same day for ALL carriers if they want to have any affect on the next iPhone.

I am not switching providers for the Prime, but if you are worried about updates with Sammy you will wait longer than with Moto or HTC, Sammy is always late to the party !!!

I have the NS4G now and will be grabbing the next Nexus (whatever it's called) as soon as I can and hopefully on Sprint.

It's an interesting time to have a new phone. Hardware wise I'd go for the Galaxy S2 if you don't feel waiting and don't want the Nexus S 4G to go down in value any further. If you're in to hacking you'll be able to put the latest and greatest on to your Galaxy S 2.

This, or at least wait until they have it rooted and have a stable ROM worked up for it.

I can't believe they are cramming a 4.5 inch screen into the sprint version of the SGSII. A friend of mine has an AT&T Infuse 4G and that damn thing is ridiculous. 4" is the sweet spot for me and the Nexus S 4G is the best phone I have had in a while.

I too thought this until I moved over to the Evo 3D. The 4.3 inch screen is honestly refreshing. I'm interested to use the 4.5 on the SGSII. I say its a little large now...but I'm sure upon use I may change my mind. Not to mention the Super AMOLED Plus is gorgeous so I can definitely get used to that.
