Just got Note 3 and need a little help with dual windows

Hi I just got the note 3 and am trying to set it so it automatically saves a 2 window combo (facebook and G+) but cant for the life of me figure out how to do it. When I have fb open and then open the side menu and select the double window option, it tells me I need to have two windows open for that to work, but I cant figure out how to have two windows open in the first place. Im sure its pretty simple and Im just not seeing it. Any chance any of you can give some simple instructions on how to do this?

Yes, open a app,,, open the side window,, press,, hold,, drag and drop other app onto the screen.
