I'm also on EE in the UK.
I got the March security update a few days ago, but I'm definitely still on 7.1.1.

It's working well for me after I turned it on. You have to enable it in Settings|Moves.

Ahh, very schoolboy error.

Kind of begs the question though how do you test something when it's not enabled and you don't know that it's there?

I got the update yesterday. Fingerprint swipes working here as well. Seems stable so far

The settings under WiFi (the gear icon) actually works again.

So far I find that swiping down on the fingerprint sensor works great, but then swiping up to get rid of the notification shade is very hit or miss. Kind of annoying, but I've already found that this new feature makes one-handed use of the phone much more enjoyable.
