Just got one, two questions

I just returned my Gear S2 and picked up a metal black 46mm 360. I have two questions.

It says in the manual to remove the plastic cling from the back and charge it for 2 hours. It doesn't look like there is a plastic cling on the back but I can't tell for certain. I've tried to see if I can remove anything from the back but don't want to scratch the watch. Was this a typo in the manual? Do most people have plastic wrapped on the back? Mine did have a fake watch face on the front which I removed.

The watch has been stuck on syncing for about 20 minutes. Does this make sense for the first use? I feel like it isn't doing anything and just sitting there. Should I try restarting it? Thanks.

Not sure on the plastic cling thing, however I have noticed that sometimes these watches get "stuck" in places. Try swiping away the updates screen on the watch from left to right. If need be, restart watch and resync apps from inside the Android Wear app on your phone (Android Wear app, gear icon at top, tap your watch model "Moto 360", then "resync apps" button).
