accidentally hit it and it tipped forward...WHAP! right on the counter face first. man, i really hate doing stupid things like that.

I didn't open my T'bolt until I had a screen protector ready to slap on & a hard case for it. Then I opened it in a carpeted room on the soft bed! This phone's got to last me quite a while, so I was extremely paranoid.

That is weird though. I've dropped mine twice (One was and ear splitting slap from almost 5 ft., and once was onto a carpetted floor when it snagged on my belt and slipped out of my grip) and STILL have a mint condition 'bolt.

Gorilla Glass is NOT scratch and crack "proof". Just resistant.

You want a phone that will be that tough? Casio's G'zOne Commando. Android 2.2 *and* has a touchscreen tested with a sledgehammer. Not a joke. Mil Spec 810G for shock, dust, water, solar radiation, etc etc.
