Sorry if this is a repost of someone else. If it is, I'd appreciate a link to that thread. :-)

The guy at the Verizon store lied to me and the Ice Cream Sandwich update did not allow removal of the Verizon bloatware. Sigh.

I put off running CleanTool to wait for the update, but it looks like I'm going to have to run it anyway. One possible problem though: part of the instructions for the tool say to turn on USB debugging before proceeding. I can't find that in my options anymore. Anyone familiar with CleanTOOL (from the XDA Developer Forums: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1367591) who can tell me how to mod the use instructions or the tool? Since I'm not good with this sort of stuff myself, I don't want to just guess and accidentally brick my phone.

Thanks!

[EDIT] Yes, I realize ICS is Ice Cream Sandwich. Forgot to fix a typo in the header before I posted...

you cannot remove stock, but you can disable which is as close as you can get to removing without actually doing so. It just sits on your memory and doesnt run or bog anything down.

to disable go to the apps part of the settings. Click on the app. uninstall updates and then disable

I already disabled them...those that could be disabled, anyway. Some of the most annoying ones, like the Verizon Location Agent, can't be disabled.

If anyone would actually like to answer my question about CleanTOOL that'd be great.

If the App you are trying to disable cant be disabled just hit remove update first. Then you will be able to disable.
That is what i had to do to VLA to disable.

Yep, I was able to removed the VLA as well once the updates were removed.
