Got the OTA update a couple of hours back. Installed it on my Nexus 5 and am quite happy playing with it for the last half hour or so.

I couldn't wait! I flashed my Nexus 7, then I flashed the ElementalX kernel the next day (along with SuperSU beta 2.50) so I could have root.

Got it on my N5.

Only thing I can't find is screen rotation settings. Have updated to allow System UI tuner.

Any tips?

I'm not sure if the settings are the same on the N5 as on the N7.

On my N7, it's in settings>device>display.

Cool thanks. Not sure why I didn't look there. Seems obvious.

However the home screen doesn't rotate is it supoosed to?

Hi all,
Got it today morning on my nexus 5 also, But all contacts disappeared .. Apps like facebook and whatsapp notifications are not displayed ( although settings are the same as before )

I'm starting to hate it :-\

Not a great difference really imo. Screen rotation is also on the slide down quick settings. Home screen doesn't rotate but I thought that was an apple copyright anyway?
Battery life seems better on my N5. It spends 8 hours stuck in my work locker with no signal apart from on my breaks. Had at least 10%-15% more charge at home time.

B Diddy, I've always been weeks behind before today so don't give up hope!

I'm always a couple of weeks behind the vanguard.:'(

This phone was a gift from a friend of mine who is a Google employee, I would like to think that this little fact might have had something to do with me getting the OTA update so quickly. Meanwhile my Nexus 7 sits there waiting for the update:-)

Just got the notification and installed. Not much different so far in the UI, but some new and interesting stuff in settings.

Hey, I just got the OTA! That's sooner for me than usual.:D

That got pulled out. They had enabled rotation in the Google Launcher during Preview 2 and 3.. but they removed the feature from the final released version.

Hi.

The "screen lock disabled" features is not longer working. Anyone with the same issue?

I hate to put the unlocked pattern every time, i just use that when i'm out in the streets but in my home or my office, the screen lock disabled worked like a charm in lollipop.

Well I sideloaded 6.0 something I am never doing again. It was not easy. I knew off the bat I would have to erase everything. No big deal as all my photos and stuff is backup up on my PC and the cloud. First using the Nexus Root Toolkit kept failing complaining about image.sys missing. Then looking up online there was a step by step video on Techno Buffalo which explained how to do it except the instructions were only for the mac. Boy was I ticked off. Come on Android helpful and you only have mac instructions and no Windows instructions. What is wrong with these people if you are on a mac just use a fruit phone where you can easily get updates day one, full backup through iTunes and easy restore.

Anyway I found a excellent site actually explaining how to sideload it on Windows. It was for the development preview so there was a few minor command lines I had to type in different just the names of the files. Great got it loaded. Downloaded, configured and added all my music and photos and I was done until I realized that I only had about 8gb of storage and I had a total of 23gb when it should be around 58gb. Looked it up online and I was ticked off again when the only solution was to type more command lines and erase everything on my device. I did that and had to start all over. First making sure that my 64gb phone was not 32gb. It was 64gb so I reinstalled everything again first re-locking the boot loader so I am not tempted to do this crap again. Also reading after that a unlocked boot loader can cause issues.

Now everything is set up again and I will just wait for any OTA updates that stupid Google decides to push whenever they feel like it.

Sorry to hear that. Smart lock is still working for me on marshmallow.
