Just me or are some Huawei phones terrible at uploading to Instagram?

I have a Huawei Y6II (first potential problem) but it seems to be very incompatible with uploading Instagram videos and photos. Once you click through after cropping a photo the colors and contrast changes. Videos are even worse. I often have green bars and ghosting across the video. Anyone else have these issues and can explain it to me? Thanks
