Has anyone gotten shipping since the block was lifted?

Currently have a Verizon Galaxy Nexus, just got tired of dealing with Big red.

I am so close to doing the exact same thing with both my wife's and my Verizon Nexi.

I ordered one yesterday, nothing yet from Google....of course it's not exactly killing me as I got one for myself just before the ban......

I'm dying to switch my vzw nexus also. I actually already have a white international one sitting at my house but I just can't pull the trigger because of my unlimited data.

I have unlimited data with Verizon too but I'm switching anyway to T-mobile prepaid as soon as my Nexus gets here. Verizon has made a long series of policy changes and plan changes that are terribly anti-customer. There's no way I'd ever sign another contract with them. And in order to keep my unlimited data I'd have to pay full retail for a phone since they went back on their word and no longer grandfather unlimited data. Verizon phones, with Verizon software on them, are not worth full retail prices. I will be saving $40 a month with T-mobile also, even though I have a 20% discount with Verizon. I'll get 5GB HSPA+ data with T-mobile before it cuts to lower speed. Verizon unlimited data throttles too so no loss for me. I don't know your specific plan and costs but you may find the temporary unlimited data from Verizon is not worth staying with them either if you really look into it. Of course, it may not be cheaper for everyone depending how you use your phone(s). I'm leaving them on principle anyway, even if it wasn't cheaper for me, but it turns out to be a lot cheaper.

I actually would love to take both my lines to T-Mobile with the 5gb plan BUT, T mobile's coverage is just so bad!

Oh that's too bad turbOwned. I hardly ever leave my city any more so I just have to care about local coverage, which is fine where I live.

I'm looking to leave boost and in a state of confusion. I want faster speeds but cannot afford the 350 for this phone plus Tmobile is only 2g here. I'm told my boost is 3g but only maybe 350kbs down sucks.

Maybe look into Straighttalk? They use all the major carriers and have a $45 plan. The reason I didn't go with them is because of some stories of them taking your phone number if they don't like your data usage and close your account. Holding onto my particular phone number is really important to me. But it's worth looking into since there is a lot of flexibility of carriers and good price.

I'm sorta a data hog but am thinking about them, I use google voice so number won't be effected

Do you have a link to that story? I can't hardly believe they can just randomly decide they're commandeering your phone number without a chance to port it to some other service.

If true this would be a deal breaker as far as switching to them when my contract is up. Was seriously considering it too with these super cheap Play store phones sans contract.

I'm in the Military so who knows where I'll be living 2 years from now. In my case where I'm stationed now in Maryland t mobile is fine but I might end up somewhere in the Midwest next time. I wish at&t still offered unlimited, I should have never left them in the first place.

I wanted to mention T-Mobile's Value plan. Bring your own device, they don't subsidize on this plan. Cheaper than prepaid and you get the benefit of roaming if needed :D
T-Mo FTW!

Quamdar, it's in their terms of service that they can take your number away without notice for any reason. There are many threads on other forums, which I probably shouldn't link to here, of people having their number taken without notice and having to fight to get it back. Some never got it back even though you should be able to within 30 days. If I ever were to get service with them I would port my number to google voice first to protect myself.

Raisinbrannon, an even cheaper plan is the $30 unlimited text and data (5Gb at 4g) 100 minute plan if you don't need the minutes or use voip workarounds. That's the prepaid plan I'm doing.

For those of you lucky enough to have good coverage with another carrier - Congratulations. If not, we have to stay with VZW. One note for those of you with an out of contract phone, there is an MVNO for Verizon called Page Plus Cellular (PagePlusCellular.com). Their best plan is $55/month for unlimited voice/unlimited text and 2 GB of 3G data/month. You must have an out of contract phone to use their service (out of contract with VZW, bought new and never activated or used). Have used them and they're pretty good (no LTE yet).
