Just Ordered A Pixel 2 - Finally!

Well, after months of deliberation and how to buy the phone (carrier vs unlocked online vs unlocked in-store), I finally ordered a Pixel 2 today!

Kind of a little freaked about the purchase (I'm not usually one to spend this much on things!); but I'm also super excited to get the phone, and am also quite relieved to have finally made a decision on an upgrade.

Well it's about time! Whenever the price bothers you, just remember (a) it's the only phone in the US with a 2 year warranty, (b) unlimited Original Quality Google Photos storage for probably however long you'll have it, and (c) take a photo of anything and marvel at how good a photographer you just became.

You are right! I am pretty excited to get my hands on the camera - my cat will be unamused by the mass increase of photographs (how can that be?!); but I'll be happy about it!

It is a great phone for sure. But the LG v30 has 2 year warranty. And the unlimited storage ends in 2020. Whether or not they extend it is anyone's guess. But the pixel is for sure a great device.

Oh, I didn't realize that! And yeah, I know the unlimited Original Quality storage ends on 1/16/21, but realistically, most of us will have traded up to the next great phone by that time (which is why I said it would be for "probably however long you'll have it")!

My cats are typically concerned when they see my phone pointed in their direction but my instagram is full of pictures of them taken on my Pixel 2 XL. Congrats on the purchase. You will be pleased with your decision. It is the best phone I have ever owned and I have owned a lot of phones since 1997!

Congrats on your decision. Don't ugly up your new Pixel 2 by putting in a bulky case or sticking an awful screen protector on it. J/K - do what's comfortable for you and enjoy your new toy!

The V30 is a great phone, for sure! It was my second choice but in the end I chose to go with the Pixel. But I definitely love the V30!

LOOL my cat is concerned too! It's good to know that other cats feel the same way! I bet your Instagram photos are cute! Cats do the sweetest - and funniest - things!

Thank you so much! Haha I usually deck up my phones with (slim) cases and a tempered glass screen protector. I'm too clumsy to have it any other way!

You won't regret it. I did the same and finally bought mine a few weeks ago. So glad I did. It's a great phone and a lot of fun. Congrats!
