He, I took advantage of their 5 month payment plan.

Currently have a iPhone see ON AT&T. The price made me buy it over a pixel 2 xl.

After initially having the black variant I think white is the way to go, at least until the matte grey is released. Usually don't like white phones but the pure white PH-1 looks amazing and doesn't show fingerprints as easily as the black ceramic. The frame also feels better since it has more of a matte finish.

Hope you enjoy the phone.

have the black one currently. day 2 and still no complaints. I also ordered a panda p2xl but i don't know if I can justify the price for a phone that has equal specs on most of the important things (minus the camera)

As much as I wanted a pixel, just couldn't see spending 850.00.

almost purchased a Moto x4

I think you'll be pleased with this phone. coming from a note 8 it feels tiny in my hand but you'll get used to it

coming from iPhone, looking forward to the change. hope I like it. was also looking at Razer.

could not find any info on how good the DAC is on the essential.

wish it had speakers like the razer

The only DAC is the one in the headphone jack dongle. It sounds fine with decent headphones. Not as good as the dongle that comes with the Razer phone.

There's only one speaker, it sounds terrible in my opinion.

The DAC in the USB-C to 3.5mm adapter is a Conexant CX20985. It's maximum resolution is 48kHz. I use Neutron MP with the Direct USB Driver switch on. It sounds very good in my opinion. Essential is supposed to be working on an external audiophile quality DAC that will connect with the two magnetic ports on the back of the phone. No word on availability.

DO you feel the Razer is worth 200.00 more?
No I don't think the Razer phone is worth $200 more. I had the Razer for about a week and prefer the Essential. The Razer has the great speakers, overall smoothness and gaming performance, more RAM and MicroSD support, but the PH-1 has the better brighter screen, fingerprint sensor on the back, more internal storage and same screen size in much smaller form factor. The Razer camera also has issues and I've been getting better battery life on PH-1.

thanks for letting me know. so far I am loving my PH-1. The Razer speakers with Atmos made me think about getting it
