Just ordered an 8GB - Should I cancel and get the McClaren ?

This will be my first Android phone. Any advice appreciated.

I had only ordered the 128GB storage version, not the 256GB version.

The difference between the 8GB 256GB and McClaren is £70 in the UK.

The difference between the 6GB and 8GB is £30.

So £40 for the carbon fibre and fast charging (plus those McClaren goodies in the box) ??

If you're a McLaren fan, it's a no-brainer. If you are not, then not sure why you would.

I am not a car racing fan, so this is not even something I would consider. Are you?

The brand name doesn't bother me. I do like the carbon fibre though.

Looking at it another way, if they offered a 10GB RAM + 128GB storage McClaren for £599, would I be happy to spend the extra £30 to get the 2GB RAM and £40 for the carbon and fast charging.... perhaps not.

Ignoring the styling, my question should really have been... Is the 2GB RAM worth paying the extra for?

In 3/4 years time will all phones have 10+ ?

I don't think it's worth spending the extra money. The extra 2 gigs of RAM won't do much and the charger the stock OnePlus 6T comes with does a great job.

I'd rather have led notifications than the extra 2 gb. Too bad THAT isn't available

Nah, 2 GB more isn't that big of a deal IMO, but the color seems to be an "upgrade" but if it's the same price, then sure get it, otherwise no.

If you really want the carbon fibre look, get a Karbon case or a Karbon bumper case. It'll be far more resilient and you won't have to put up with any orange on your phone lol.

You'll be fine. I'd say for the minor price bump going from 6GB to 8GB is worth it but I haven't seen any reason to need more than that.

I wouldn't mind a little orange honestly, I'm so tired of black or white. That said I agree with the Karbon case or bumper idea. Thinking of getting one myself.

I just want the fingerprint animation on it. Hopefully they bring more to the 6T
