First off hello all. I just picked mine up yesterday and traded my Note 4 for it. I also currently own a Droid Turbo as well.

I thought when I got the turbo I finally found a phone that was as close to perfect "for me" that I could find. Well I was wrong.

I find the Z3v to be even better. From the form and feel to build quality I could not like it more. The phone is fast and fluid. I love the software. I find the camera to be the best I have found in a phone bulbs have not tried the Nokia line.

Being waterproof is a extra bonus. Not sure on the wireless charging though. Not sure if I want to use it.

There is much more I enjoy as do you all. Just thought I would stop in and say hello and I look forward to chatting with you all about this phone.

Hi and welcome! I've had my Z3v since it was launched about a month ago and absolutely love it! It really is the best phone I've had...not a single glitch or lag. Smooth quick OS, awesome camera, classy looks, great reception, AMAZING battery life... I'm getting better life than turbo owners are reporting. I don't have a single complaint or regret!

I'm getting battery life similar to what I was getting on droid maxx. But it all depends on what you do with the phone. I found a game that totally destroys battery life(rival knights) 100 to empty in about 4 hours. But other then that it's a solid phone with the best camera in a phone. My dad has droid turbo and wife has lg g2, Sony camera puts theirs to shame.

Oh and waterproofing is just awesome. I like listening to music in shower or reading news in a Jacuzzi so it's a great feature to me.

I use wireless charging since my Droid maxx days and don't plan on going back. But I will purchase a quick charger 2.0 just in case I need full charge in an hour.

Congrats! Love my Z3v!

Just curious: As far as wireless, why do you not want to use it? I charge mine nightly on it and it works great (plus reduces my chance of not getting a good seal on the waterproof charging flap). I use the Verizon gel TPU case and it charges through the back of the case.

However, I HIGHLY recommend the Tylt charger that Verizon sells (I actually think it's a Cyber Monday sale item). I tried the Sony one and my phone kept sliding off at night.

Posted via my underrated Xperia Z3v.

I agree on the TYLT VU charger. Mine is on my nightstand and I charge it when I sleep each night. I love that I never have to plug my phone in anymore. I've never had a wireless charger before and now that I have it I can't imagine life without it!

One other benefit with the TYLT VU is that it comes with its own power cord - I haven't seen any other wireless chargers that do.

I just picked my mine up on November 29th. So far so good. I am not power users by any means but I am pushing almost 3 days of battery after only charging it too 91% on the first day. Coming from the Moto X (2013) I am really liking the battery life. It takes a little bit to get used for the size but its not that bad. I almost used a Nexus 6 before selling it I think 5.2-5.5 inch phones are my limit. I do wish you could remove the carrier bloat. I do love tap to wake probably the best feature other than for the battery. Sony apps and ui are not that bad pretty close to stock. For how much I did not want to go back to Verizon but I am happy.

I'm really enjoying the phone as well. Battery life has been amazing and has been better than any phone I have had in a long while. I want sure I would like this phone but I truely do enjoy it and haven't regretted it for a second.

Sony needs to step up their marketing game a bit in my opinion as this is easily up there with the top devices and for me it beats them all.

I'm glad you like the phone (I do, too!) but it isn't Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 enabled. At first I thought it was enabled, but upon further review on Sony's spec sheet, it indicates USB High speed 2.0. Since some other spec sheets list it as being Quick Charge, I investigated and bought a Quick Charge 2.0/Fast Charge car charger from Verizon and while it does charge a little faster than the stock home charger, it's still rather slow.

Though I'm disappointed it's not Quick Charge 2.0 enabled, the good battery performance makes up for it, and it's just a fun phone to use!

Just ordered the wireless charger recommended here. With your review and those online I'm excited to try it out. Besides using the wireless charger for the Palm Pre I haven't tried one since. Should work out nice.

Which charger exactly did you buy?

What do you guys think about the size of the phone...seemed pretty big to me for the screen size...especially when comparing to droid turbo and even the G3

It's probably a little taller than I'd prefer, trade off being two front facing speakers I guess. (which I'm extremely pleased with!) But it fits fine in my pockets, and I have no trouble handling it at all despite my small hands. Thickness doesn't make a difference for me personally, and in many respects I think thinner phones are sometimes more difficult to handle. If someone is looking for a new phone, they shouldn't just read the spec dimensions, they really need to feel and handle the phones. And at the end of the day, you get used to whichever phone you end up with anyway.
