Just purchased Lux to help with screen brightness

Lux is the best third party brightness management app. I like it because the stock settings are too bright for a dark room

Let me know how it goes. If it works, I'll give it a whirl.

So far so good, it handles auto brightness better than the built-in and the screen doesn't seem to get as hot. One thing: make sure you step through the setup wizard to start with, as there a ton of settings to try to comprehend if you just dive in.

Anyone having issues with Lux going to sleep. I loved it on my other devices but with my G4 it would go to sleep and not refresh. Couldn't see the screen in daylight when it did this. Had to uninstall but would love to use it again if someone knows a fix.

I've only used it for the day, but had no problem with it going to sleep. Maybe run through the setup wizard again, making sure that "dynamic" is set for when Lux adjusts brightness.

Will keep an eye on this thread. I can't check auto brightness on the G4 because it is too dark at low light even when the slider is all the way to the right.

My buddy swears by Lux but I haven't tried it. Maybe one of these days...

Had to uninstall again. After screen turns off and I turn back on it says sleeping even though I manually turn it off each time. If you look at the reviews there have been issues in Lollipop. First time I noticed I was outside and couldn't see the screen. Oh well, like the app when it works.

Yes, did this as well. Still no luck for me.

I'm loving Lux. Works great for me for the past 2 weeks.

I haven't seen it sleeping but I will be keeping my eye out for that.

Does anybody have a solution to the problem where it always gets changed to sleeping?

I haven't had this happen; maybe run through the setup wizard again (or for the first time) and see if there's a setting that's doing it.

So dumb...i rebooted the phone and it fixed the problem.

Yep. Just started using it as well. For only one reason, though: I found the default brightness too dim in darker rooms. I always had to bump it up manually by about 10%.
